NEVER THE SAME

What Does It Mean?

It means when you spend part of your summer giving yourself away to make a difference in someone else’s life, something incredible happens in YOU!

Why Never The Same Missions?

We custom design a missions trip for teens that’s different from the rest! Susie Mag works with Big World Ventures, a Christian organization that puts together missions trips for Christian teens. Big World, working along side Compassion International, helps make sure that all the details are covered so you can focus on what’s really important ... serving God.

"This was a life-changing trip for my teen in so many ways. It strengthened her spirituality and gave her a confidence in herself she didn't have before.
This was an awesome experience, well-run, excellent
speakers and leader!"   Gina, North Carolina

Our Missions Trip History

Brio Magazine founding editor, Susie Shellenberger, began taking students on missions trips in 1996 with the first trip to Bolivia. We've taken several thousand teens to Brazil, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Guatemala. The 2011 trip to Quito, Ecuador promises to be another life-changing experience!

"Exceptional organization - every detail covered. Incredible messages, amazing leadership; all around awesome!"   Vicki, Colorado

Why Quito, Ecuador?

We have been challenged to "adopt a village",

Teen Missions bring tooth brushesa Compassion International project in Ecuador, by sponsoring a child in that area. The 2011 Mission trip will give our group an opportunity to go and meet their sponsored child – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

What do we do to ensure safety?

- We take a medical staff with us.

- Every evening we have our own service; teens are not
even given an option to visit the city without adult
  supervision.

- We never use public transportation but charter our own
  buses.

- Teens are allowed to bring cell phones and call home.

- Shower and toilet facilities are available.

- We recruit qualified Christian adults to fill the sponsor
roles in addition to our staff and volunteers.

- We all stay together in one large hotel that will be a safe
  and comfortable environment.

- We also take a professional counseling staff with us just
in case a teen needs to talk about any issues that
  surface during the trip.

Big World Ventures also handles the details of food and lodging, sight-seeing, international flight reservations, recruiting Christian interpreters and church representatives to follow up on new converts, reserving buses for ministry travel once in the country, scheduling ministry events for each day and arranging a shopping excursion.

How Much Does it Cost?

The cost for trip Option 1 will be $2,398 from Miami, Florida.

This covers food, lodging and airfare from Miami to Quito, Ecuador. In addition, you’ll be responsible for a $48 application fee ($58 for LIT's & Adults), your passport and your domestic flight to and from Miami International Airport, where we’ll meet before traveling to Ecuador.
